Botox Party Success & my next lipo...sculpture, that is!
_l.jpg)
So at this time, I've experienced not just botox, juvederm and restylane, but LED rejuvenation facials which are the facials that gave my skin back it's "glow", an Erbium facial which is for my acne scarring (I'll be doing approx 4 of these to achieve the results i want), Lipodissolve & Liposculpture. I have to say, the results of Liposculpture (done to my neck and chin area) have been incredible. The procedure was done on a Friday so that I could wear a very tight brace thru the weekend, a total of 60 hours. I wanted to be able to drive myself to and from the office, so I asked for no drugs of any kind, only something to numb the area. First, Dr. Kaplan numbed the area by injecting lidocaine. The result, my neck up to my chin were full of fluid and I saw what I would look like if I gained numberous lbs! It was painless, I even have a picture of me and i'm smiling!
Once the lidocaine took effect (about 20 minutes, i think) Dr. Kaplan made 3 small incisions. One under my chin and one below and behind each ear. The procedure was a bit weird for lack of a better description. Remember, I'm fully conscious, just numb where the doctor is removing fat. It felt like I was having my face erased. The tugging and rubbing...tolerable but, if I had been the type to have a queasy stomach, drugs would have been nice. Muscle was separated from skin and I was bandaged. I'd say the entire procedure, numbing to wrapping was one hour. I didn't have any pain but the wrap drove me a little nuts. I remember calling my sister and a girlfriend afterwards on my drive home...it was a little difficult to move my mouth from the lidocaine, so we all got a good laugh at my messages! 60hours of wearing the wrap felt like a LONG time, then I wore it an additional week only at bedtime. When the wrap came off, I was lucky enough to have little to no bruising...and YES!..... it was well worth the results!!
