4th Annual 98.9 WMMO Rock FOREver Concert and Golf Classic

  • Glenn Hughes, lead singer of Deep Purple. Well known for hits like "Smoke On The Water" and "Burn."

  • Kevin Dubrow the lead singer of Quiet Riot, famous for "Cum On Feel the Noize" and other rock hits.

  • Lita Ford, her hits included "Kiss Me Deadly" and the Top 10 hit duet with Ozzy Osbourne, "Close My Eyes Forever."

  • Alex Ligertwood, lead vocalist for the band Santana. Ligertwood performed on 12 albums and earned Gold Records for four of them and a number of Top 40 hits. As lead singer of the group Santana he has scored a number of hits such as "Winning," "All I Ever Wanted," and "Hold On".

  • Doug Fieger of The Knack. Doug has been the only lead singer of this Grammy-nominated band. They scored a hit single with "My Sharona" and their album Get the Knack went on to become one of the bestselling first recordings ever.

  • Shawn Burke Morning Music Host on 98.9 WMMO!

  • Jim Payne, News Anchor for WESH, Channel 2.

  • Fred Marion, former All Pro defensive back of the New England Patriots. Fred is also a University of Miami graduate.

  • Johnnie Rembert, another All Pro linebacker. Johnnie starred for the New England Patriots after playing college ball at Clemson.

  • Scott Mitchell, former quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. Scott was also quarterback for the Detroit Lions.

  • Dennis Rasmussen, former pitcher for the New York Yankees. After leaving the Yankees, Dennis coached such teams as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Boston Red Sox.

  • Peter Kessler, former host of Golf Talk Live, Viewer's Forum, and Golf Academy Live. Peter has been called the "voice of golf" for his work on the Golf Channel, and won the La Costa Club Championship in 1976.

  • Willie Jones, former defensive end for the Oakland Raiders. Willie was named Sack Leader in 1979 and played in the 1980 Superbowl with the Raiders.

  • James Jones, running back for the Detroit Lions. James has also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Denver Broncos. In 1999, while playing for the Detroit Lions, James garnered 70 tackles (tops among defensive linemen) and a career-high seven sacks.

  • Lee Corso, is a key member of ESPN's college football production team. Lee coached college and professional football for 28 years, including 17 seasons as head coach, before joining ESPN in 1987. He also went to Florida State and is a member of the FSU Hall of Fame.
