Michelle Shocked/The Gourds
Returning to the etown stage in this repeat airing is singer-songwriter Michelle Shocked. Michelle celebrates the concurrent release of three CDs, including an album of Disney covers, produced by etown's own Nick Forster. Nick and co-host Helen Forster, along with the etones, back up Michelle musically as she brings a few of her new tunes to share with us all. Also on the show is the Austin-based band, The Gourds, with their edgy, raw, sinewy sound; they do what they do in their own special way. Top it all off with this week's e-chievement award winner, and you have another winning hour of great radio in etown.

A budding legend is teamed with a living legend right here in etown! First up, it's Neko Case who has earned accolades upon accolades for her recent work. Witness her stellar writing and singing, woven with pitch-perfect harmonies and strong instrumental and vocal support from her band. She shows us why she has topped so many 'Best of' lists. Then, living legend Charlie Louvin, of the influential country music duo The Louvin Brothers, takes the etown stage for the first time. He shares a couple of classic tunes and chats about his experience in country music history with host Nick Forster. Del McCoury Band/Kaki King
etown veterans and favorites, the Del McCoury Band, return for a visit to etown in this encore airing. The eight-time 'Entertainers of the Year' award winners wow us with their hot bluegrass picking and singing, showcasing their superb selection of songs. Then, hosts Nick & Helen Forster welcome the popping and tapping fingers of guitar virtuoso and writer Kaki King, who shares her expansive and unique palette of sounds and grooves. The Frames/Nellie McKay Interview: Dr. Tom Starrs
The Frames are acknowledged as one of Ireland's most successful current bands. They join us in etown for their first visit and show us why Rolling Stone says their music is "lovely and then some." Singer-songwriter and pianist Nellie McKay makes her second trip to the etown stage. She delivers her own unique brand of smart and well-crafted songs with sassy wit and charm, with solid back-up from Nick & Helen Forster and the etones. And Nick interviews renewable energy expert, Dr. Tom Starrs of the Bonneville Environmental Foundation who offers ideas on energy conservation and sustainability. There's also a motivated e-chievement award winner, too, in this week's edition of etown.
