I’m no doctor, I don’t even pretend to be one on the radio. However, after seeing that 2 of these 4 things happen to me almost daily, it caught my attention. So, I wanted to share them with you.

Plus, after talking about them on-the-air, all of you that called and said “Wait, what you just say?” I promised that I would post them, so you could check it out on your own time. So, here you go and while I’m no doctor as mentioned, these tips are from an ACTUAL doctor...

Four Signs Your Body Needs More Nutrients

1.  Brittle fingernails- There are quite a few things that can cause this, things like cold weather (which we’re having now), nail polish remover, thyroid issues, or just washing your hands a lot.  However, it can also be a sign you need more iron or protein. So, enjoy that big fat steak tonight or some grilled chicken.

2.  Eyelid twitching-  This happens to me at least a few times a week and it’s so annoying! Experts say it could be caused by stress, caffeine, eye strain, or you’re not getting enough sleep.  However, it can also be a sign you’re low on magnesium.  So, add some bananas, beans, spinach, fish, nuts, or oatmeal to your diet, they’re all a good ways to get more magnesium.

3.  Your noisy knees-  If you can’t sneak up on anyone because of your knees popping, cracking, or clicking sounds in your joints could just mean you’re getting old.  But not getting enough calcium can cause it, too.  You might also be low on vitamin D, which helps your body absorb calcium.

4.  You bruise easily- Again, some of us are just more prone to it, especially as you get older. But it can also be a sign you’re low on vitamin C, which helps produce collagen. or low on vitamin K, which helps your blood clot.
