Sad news for rock fans, KISS fans, and music history fans. The original “Plaster Caster”, Cynthia Albritton, has died. She was a real person and the subject of the KISS song. She was a true groupie who really did make plaster casts of her favorite band members ‘members’. Here’s Gene’s tweet about it.

Here’s a video of her story and collection. Jimi Hendrix was the very first to ever be “commemorated”, if you will.

And from KISS’s 1977 6th album, Love Gun, here’s the song Gene wrote about her called, obviously, Plaster Caster. Quick note, Cynthia never made a cast of Gene himself or you know it would have the KISS logo all over it and be on sale for a few hundred dollars on their website lol.
