HOA Threatens to Sue Florida Cop for Parking Patrol Car in Driveway

When I first read this, I totally thought it was a joke. It’s not.

A Clearwater HOA is threatening to sue a police officer for hundreds of dollars in violation costs for parking her patrol car in her own driveway.

Ummm...I would pay MORE in HOA fees to have a neighbor park their patrol car in the driveway!

By the way, this law enforcement officer’s husband is ALSO a cop.

I can’t believe anyone would make a decision to punish two people who risk their lives for their community, and punish their neighbors, who would benefit by having a crime deterrent on their block.

Apparently, this HOA has a rule that says you can’t have a commercial vehicle parked in the driveway. Huh? Police departments aren’t for-profit - they’re public service entities.
