When the Stadium Tour and Billy Joel are scheduled to play the same venue on back-to-back nights, that makes concert moments like this happen. The Stadium Tour hit Detroit’s Comerica Park on the 10th, and Billy Joel was playing on the 9th. The Stadium Tour isn’t doing any back-to-back shows so the band’s usually end up in the next city the day before, which is what happened here. And with Def Leppard in Detroit the same night Billy was playing, Joe Elliott stopped by to jump on stage with Billy and his band to rock Pour Some Sugar On Me.
Not the first time this collabo has happened either. In fact it was the 3rd time after a 2018 appearance in Boston at Fenway, and a 2019 New Yok Madison Square Garden show.
