Joe Jackerson | Honoree for June 5th, 2020

Joe was nominated by his friend, Lindsie, who said, “Joe Jackerson is one of the bravest most resilient men I know. His courage and strength when faced with any obstacle whether at work as a firefighter or in his personal life is something to be recognized. His loyalty and dedication in the fire service has made him such an asset to any department he’s worked. We are celebrating Joe’s 24th year in the fire service this year and I can’t thank him enough for what he does in keeping us safe then and now. He’s done a little bit of everything from Hazmat to disaster relief and even working on a Naval Base. I want to make sure he knows how much his boys and I appreciate everything he does. He’s made such an impact that you can’t go many places without running into fellow first responders and them not light up when they talk about stories from years past and the lives he’s impacted along the way. He’s unforgettable and something so special and I just wanted to show my appreciation for all he does.”
