Ringo Starr’s Son Zak Is The Drummer For The Who, Oasis, And Many, Many More

First of all Ringo Starr’s real name is Richard Starkey. His son is Zak Starkey. That is a small reason why some people may not have known Zak was Ringo’s son, simply because he’s not using his dad’s stage name for recognition. Not that he’d need more recognition. Zak is the drummer for both The Who and Oasis, and has played drums for a plethora of other famous bands over the decades, including The Lightning Seeds, Icicle Works, The Waterboys, Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Marr, and his dad’s all star band. I learned much of this from a Facebook page I follow called The College of Rock and Roll Knowledge. Which is where I also learned that not only was Zak’s godfather the one and only Keith Moon, but Keith, not Ringo, bought Zak his first drum set. And now Zak is filling the void Keith left. Sometimes music trivia is just cool.
