It what might be the longest title on a concert ticket I’ve ever seen, Sammy Hagar and his band are going on tour with George Thorogood and his band. Sammy is calling this the “Crazy Times” amphitheater tour, and so far they’ve only announced the first leg. The tour kicks off June 10th in Bridgeport, Connecticut and runs through September 10th with a date in Irvine, CA. But if you look at the dates announced so far they’re only playing 5 shows in June, none in July yet, 5 more shows in August, and only 4 in September. I would assume they’ll be announcing more dates to fill in some of those large empty spaces in their tour, and hopefully some of those will be here in Florida. But even they don’t, Sammy is still playing the Strawberry Festival in Plant City March 6th, and George Thorogood is playing Florida 4 times in February. But with that being said, knowing how Sammy likes to party at concerts I’m also assuming he’ll pull George on stage for some song collaborations during their joint tour. Either way we’ve got a few great shows coming and hopefully more added soon.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time this Friday, January 28th. Redhead fan club members will have access to the first pre-sale tickets beginning tomorrow morning, January 25 at 10 a.m.
