May 4th, 1982 38 Special released their album “Special Forces”.
It was a little bit more than a year after their album “Wild Eyed Southern Boys”.
This album contained hits like “Caught Up In You”, “Chain Lightnin’” and “You Keep Runnin’ Away” that remain in the band’s set today.
Don Barnes and I spoke about what things were like for the band at that time.
Some of it was about contractual obligations and some of it about relationships that influenced the song writing.
