Some animals refuse to be caged. This is one of them. A flamingo named Pink Floyd (awesome job zoo naming people) escaped from a Kansas zoo 17 years ago in 2005, and has been roaming free ever since. Mostly on the Texas gulf coast. And that’s exactly where it was spotted just a week ago. Floyd has become a well known regular on the Texas coast and it looks like after this long he’ll remain free to roam the dark side of the moon, and won’t be restrained by walls ever again. Ok now you make your own Pink Floyd joke.
Looks like Pink Floyd has returned from the 'dark side the of moon'! Spotted at Rhodes Point in Cox Bay near Port Lavaca by David Foreman on March 10. Pink Floyd is a local Texas flamingo that escaped a Kansas zoo in 2005 and has been seen on the Texas coast for several years.
